3 years of using Bose QC25

I have been using the Bose QC25 for about 3 years now and I wanna start off by saying that I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Even though for most of us, we’re working from home, it doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t be used to their full potential.

For me at first when I got them, it was for the noise cancelling as I was working in an office in Montreal. To avoid distraction and stay focused, I had to cut off from the other people whom where talking too loud in order to do the important stuff so investing money into that was worth trying.

I really did get used to the noise cancelling and having that nice no-sound effect, just listening to music itself, I think could have done it for me to focus and not listen to the others talk so the noise cancelling didn’t really have to be there… Well, thats because I listen to my music really loud, usually when i’m listening to hip hop or punk music I enjoy it loud so I just crank up the volume so noise cancelling or not, you don’t really hear the others. But it got really interesting when, you just want peace and quiet, listening to some soul or Jack Johnson, you dont necessarely want to crank up the volume, that’s where the noise cancelling really shine for me, when you want to be relaxed and quiet but the environment doesn’t allow it.

But at home, we don’t have colleague that chit-chat about their weekends and such. Instead we might have neighbours that do some renovation, or someone in the apartment upstair that simply walks and make noise, your appliances motor or things like that.. What I mean is that its not always as relaxing as we would like it to be so noise cancelling, even though we are at home, is still very relevant.

To me though, what was the most appealing thing, was how comfortable they are to wear, you don’t even feel them and its amazing, I can wear them for a 4 hour stretch, then go for a 10 minute walk, come back and wear them again without any ear fatigue and that to me, is the most important feature when i’m looking for a pair of headphones to work with. The noise cancelling is a very valued extra too!
